How do I know what type of cancer I have?

Your cancer specialist can perform pathological, cytological or radiological tests. If cancer is confirmed, the specialist determines the stage to understand the extent and spread of the disease.

When should I see a cancer specialist?

Your doctor may carry out tests to find out whether you have cancer. If cancer is suspected, you will likely be referred to a cancer specialist.

What cancer treatment options are available?

Options depend on the type and stage of cancer and usually include surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. At Prolife Cancer Centre an integrated team of cancer specialists decides the treatment plan.
